Manager, Product Marketing

About the Role

Cleary Gottlieb, a preeminent global law firm with 17 offices on four continents, created ClearyX, a separate business unit within the firm, to focus on building alternative models of legal services. ClearyX uses a unique combination of technology, people and process to create efficient, high quality legal services and products to support the firm and its clients.

ClearyX is seeking to hire a Manager of Product Marketing to drive product marketing strategy and go-to-market execution for the firm’s proprietary legal technology solutions. Working cross-functionally with various teams, the individual in this role will be expected to accelerate product adoption and expand market presence through strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have an interest in legal technology, strong communication skills, and the ability to ensure positioning resonates with legal professionals and law firms while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Product Marketing & Strategy

  • Partner with product team to develop go-to-market strategies for new products and feature releases
  • Define product positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to legal market segments (law firms, corporate legal departments, legal operations)
  • Develop buyer personas and ideal customer profiles specific to the legal technology market
  • Create compelling product collateral, including solution briefs, case studies, white papers, and product sheets
  • Equip sales teams with positioning frameworks, pitch decks, and GTM materials
  • Track product marketing KPIs, including product adoption, market penetration, and pipeline

 

Market Intelligence & Client Insight

  • Support the organization through research and feedback sessions to understand pain points, buying behaviour, and success factors
  • Contribute data analytics, competitive intelligence, and market research insights to inform product marketing strategy
  • Monitor legal tech market trends, emerging competitors, and industry developments to support strategic decision-making

 

Marketing Campaigns & Content

  • Partner with the marketing and product teams to execute product launch campaigns and feature release communications
  • Develop content strategy in collaboration with the marketing team to support thought leadership and demand generation
  • Collaborate with sales to implement marketing automation workflows tailored to legal industry buying patterns
  • Track campaign performance metrics and optimize based on results

 

Industry Relations & Thought Leadership

  • Support and execute legal conference strategies, including booth presence, speaking opportunities, and sponsorship activations
  • Build relationships with legal tech analysts, industry publications, and conference organizers
  • Identify speaking and award opportunities to build brand visibility
  • Represent ClearyX at legal tech events and industry forums

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in product marketing within legal technology or legal services
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution
  • Understanding of the legal technology landscape, key players, and buyer dynamics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to translate insights into strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
