Carlos is a lawyer specializing in M&A and cross-border transactions. He holds an international background, with experience in transaction tax advisory for multinational companies and private equity funds across multiple industries.
Prior to joining ClearyX, he worked as a Tax & Legal Associate at a Big Four firm, developing his expertise in corporate due-diligence and his dedication to understand the business structure and process behind each project. As a technology enthusiast, Carlos has been part of GenAI pilots and other initiatives aimed at improving efficiency in legal workflows.
He completed a Master’s in Corporate Law from IE Law School and qualified as a licensed attorney, after obtaining his Bachelor of Laws from IE University, including an academic exchange at the University of Hong Kong. Carlos is committed to enhance practical skills training in Law, and how these may be enhanced through legal courses, certifications, and language proficiency. He currently speaks Spanish, English, German, and French.
Outside of work, he values activities that reinforce his discipline and curiosity, practicing endurance sports and learning from new places and cultures through cuisine, historic literature, and authentic local experiences.
