With a law degree and specialized Masters in Innovation, Technology and the Law from the University of Edinburgh, Iain possesses a unique skill set that combines legal expertise with a deep understanding of emerging technologies. Iain began his career in Dublin at RegTech start-up  that analysed global regulatory notices and publications using its unique taxonomy, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence. Working closely with Tier 1 financial institutions and leading regulatory bodies, Iain delivered bespoke technology solutions to achieve better compliance outcomes.

Keen to take his experience to the legal sector, Iain moved to the U.K. to join a top tier law firm as Senior Legal Technologist. Iain trained under leading voices in legal technology and innovation and further developed his legal, technology, and consultancy expertise. There he was responsible for scoping, defining, and managing significant technical projects for clients and divisions across the firm, it was here where Iain cemented his interest and talent for designing and building client solutions to bolster the delivery of legal services.

Following, Iain took his passion to another top tier law firm in London where he led a team of Technologists and spearheaded innovation and legal technology projects. Iain helped reshape the firm’s client offering and led a firm-wide change management exercise to boost the adoption of legal technology and innovative processes. These initiatives were instrumental in boosting client wins and increasing profitability during his time at the firm.

Now based in Edinburgh, Iain is a ClearyX Analyst with a specific focus on client solutions. Building on our goal to reimagine how legal services can be delivered, Iain is committed to transforming the future of legal services through technology and forward-thinking approaches.
