Kaitland is an Analyst with ClearyX where she works towards innovating legal services by streamlining and improving processes through the use of technology such as AI. Prior to joining ClearyX, Kaitland practiced at a large Canadian regional firm focusing primarily on M&A, commercial and residential real estate, financing, M&A, non-profits, wills and estates and general corporate law. She represented a wide range of clients largely consisting of small business owners, real estate investors and grassroots community organizations. Prior to entering the legal profession, Kaitland worked as a legal assistant providing support for multiple busy labour, employment, professional regulatory and general litigation practices.
Kaitland received her JD from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2019. Prior to that, she received her Legal Assistant Diploma from MacEwan University in 2013 and her Bachelor of Professional Arts with Great Distinction from Athabasca University in 2016. Kaitland also had the opportunity to study international law at Utrecht University for a semester while completing her law degree.
During law school, Kaitland was active with the University of Alberta Women’s Law Forum, where she organized various speaker events raising awareness about the unique issues facing women in the practice of law. Kaitland is a strong believer in helping others, mentorship, and giving back to the community. Over the years she has assisted with various local initiatives, including running a fundraising drive for the Fort McMurray wildfires and volunteering with Student Legal Services of Edmonton. She also seeks to provide mentorship to her peers and others in her community whenever possible.
