Kathleen is internationally educated and trained in the art, technology, and legal worlds. At ClearyX, she holds the position of Senior Director, Marketing and Business Development where she is responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing and business development plans to drive growth and increase market share. In her role, Kathleen oversees all marketing, advertising, and promotional activities, ensuring alignment with ClearyX’s vision and goals. Additionally, Kathleen works to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners, and analyze market trends and competitors.
Kathleen’s professional legal experience includes working in private practice and for one of the first AI start-ups in the legal tech space. Most recently, she was at a leading global legal technology service provider, where she influenced product strategy and led cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge legal technology. Kathleen was named a top Artificial Intelligence writer on Medium and featured as a Woman of Legal Tech by American Lawyer Magazine, Legal Tech News, and CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics. Kathleen strongly believes that legal technology should be taught during a student’s time at law school and continues to lecture pro bono at law schools globally. She frequently speaks at legal conferences and legal tech programs.
Kathleen holds degrees from the University of Toronto (BA Hons), University of Manchester/Sotheby’s Institute of Art (Master of Art Business), and University of London (LL. B Hons), and has completed legal studies at the University of Cambridge as a visiting scholar. She also holds two master’s degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto – an LL.M specializing in Canadian Common Law and a second LL.M specializing in International Business Law, where her thesis focused on Legal Innovation and Technology. In Fall 2021, Kathleen completed a certificate in Artificial Intelligence through the University of Oxford.
Kathleen serves on the board of the St. Michael’s Hospital – Young Leaders Division. She remains passionate about the art world and often frequents auction houses and galleries. Kathleen’s goal is to develop strategic relationships while applying a growth mindset to creatively translate customer problems into solutions. She is an enthusiastic leader who strives to achieve results, inspire collaboration, and shape ClearyX’s strategy and direction.
